1. “在” 和 “呢” 同时用在一个句子里，或者单独使用，表示动作正在进行。
“在” and “呢” can be used in the same sentence or individually to indicate an action in progress.
Subject + 在 + Verb-object (+呢)
他在跑步呢。
同学们在上课呢。
2. 否定形式用 “没“ “在” 可以不用, “呢“ 不能保留。简单回答时，只说 ”没有”。
The negative form is “没 + (在)”, “呢” is omitted in the negative form. To give a negative answer, one can simply say “没有”.
他没(在)跑步，他在游泳呢。 (✓)
他没写作业呢。 (x)

3. 动词前有地点状语时，只用一个 “在”。
When there is a locative adverb before the verb, only one ”在“ is needed.
他在操场跑步呢。(✓)

4. 动作进行的时间可以是现在、过去或将来。
The action may take place in the present, past or future.
现在我在上课呢。
昨天上午十点我在上课呢。
